Rate card & scope

Koustav Ganguly

Hi — I’m Koustav. I work as a design-minded frontend developer and technical writer (3+ years shipping production UI).

This page is my public rate card. Engagements usually cover landing pages and product frontend, React / Next.js implementation from Figma (or similar), responsive polish, and scoped fixes — always with written scope and milestones.

If you’re a company, brand, or founder looking for senior-level frontend delivery without committing to a full-time hire, I can plug in for defined work. Broader or multi-vendor projects get scoped after a short alignment call.

These are honest anchors in USD. Batch screen pricing, full project brackets, rush fees, and line-item overages are confirmed in writing after we align — or send the one-pager when you request the full guide by email.

ME · RATE

Day rate (8 hrs)

$400

Hourly rate

$50

Monthly retainer

$4,000 / month

Monthly retainer (startups)

$3,500 / month

Services typically covered

  • Landing pages & marketing sites — responsive, conversion-aware UI
  • Product frontend — React / Next.js, components, design-system-friendly code
  • Design handoff — Figma (or similar) to production-ready CSS / Tailwind
  • Bug fixes & small features inside agreed scope (not open-ended maintenance)

Per-screen work (USD)

Per-screen anchors assume standard complexity; unusual integrations or legacy stacks may sit outside these bands — we’ll say so before you commit.

Lighter scope

Simple pages, reusing existing components or light polish

$85 – $110

Most common

Typical

Custom layouts, forms, moderate interactions — most landing work lands here

$110 – $150

Heavier / conversion

Dashboards, motion, data viz, strong CTA flows

$160 – $320+

What these anchors include

  • Mobile-first responsive implementation; clean handoff (React / Next.js / Tailwind preferred)
  • Two revision rounds within the agreed design for typical engagements
  • Milestone-based payments — structure and final quote in writing before build
  • USD • Final numbers after the free 15-min scope alignment (or equivalent written brief)

What stays off the public page (on purpose)

Volume discounts, package bundles, retainers, rush delivery, and line-item overages — the stuff that depends on volume and timeline. That lands in the proposal or the full pricing guide so it stays accurate, not generic.

  • Batch / multi-screen pricing and effective per-screen when volume applies
  • Full project brackets (small add-on → larger revamp / MVP-style scopes)
  • Retainers, priority slots, and rush timelines
  • Revision overages and edge cases beyond the included rounds

The email opens your client with a short template — add context so I can send the right one-pager.

Anchors build trust; detail stays tied to your scope — still honest, still differentiated.
